
Nexus Q Front – Black (Source: Google’s Nexus Site)
At Google I/O today, Google announced they submission to the media streaming market, the Nexus Q. The Q runs on the Play ecosystem, similar to how the Apple TV works. Users can wirelessly download the Nexus Q App for their Android device and then wirelessly play a song through the Nexus Q. The Nexus Q retails for $299 which is quite high compared to the $99 Apple TV and Roku 2.
The Nexus Q Tech Specs are as follows:
- TosLink Optical audio (S/PDIF) input.
- 10/100BASE-T Ethernet (RJ45) input.
- Micro HDMI (Type D) input.
- Micro AB USB input.
- Banana jack speaker outputs.
