Today, Apple introduced the new version of iTunes, iTunes 11. The new version features an edge-to-edge design, an new Album view, “In The Store” feature. where you can see the top songs in the album. You can now also browse your library by artist.
The currently playing window provides a dropdown to see upcoming songs. Lots of modals here — not so much jumping around, which is a welcome change.
Apple have also re-designed the mini-player with a sleeker look. The mini-player also allows you to manage playlist and upcoming songs.
The iTune Store have also been updated to resemble the iOS counterpart.
The New iTunes will be available for download in October. It has been “dramatically simplified” with iCloud built-in.
