Xbox’s Larry Hryb has announced that Xbox LIVE users may now register for the fall update public beta.  Interested participants may sign up at Microsoft Connect, users must comply to the terms of a non-disclosure agreement. Those selected as testers will have the beta pushed to their consoles once it’s live.

Nintendo Officially names the Wii U Controller the Wii U Gamepad

Last Night, Nintendo, in their Pre-E3 Broadcast, unveiled the final version of the Wii U’s controller, the Wii U Gamepad. The Gampad shown by Nintendo’s President Satoru Iwata is very similar to the one leaked a few weeks ago. According to Satoru Iwata the name ‘Gamepad’ comes from the name given by players to the NES controller. 

Aqua Blue Nintendo 3DS to be Discontinued

Nintendo of Japan has revealed the Aqua Blue 3DS will no longer be in production. Nintendo’s Official Japanese Site states, “Scheduled to end production shortly”. No reason was given but it may be because there is a new blue colour of 3DS, Colbalt Blue. Currently a Japan exclusive. May be dominating the market.
